SU(3) x SU(3) AND DILATATION INVARIANCE OF STRONG INTERACTIONS, HOW ARE THEY REALIZED IN THE SYMMETRY LIMIT,

Abstract

On general field theoretic grounds it is argued that the bare mass of the proton (baryon-octet) vanishes without implying vanishing physical masses. This suggests that SU(3) x SU(3) and dilatation invariance are realized through the Goldstone-Nambu mechanism in the symmetry limit. (Author)
