INVESTIGATION OF RADIO PULSES PRODUCED BY RADIATION IN THE ATMOSPHERE.

Abstract

Radio pulses generated in the atmosphere by cosmic-ray air showers have been studied at an altitude of 17,500 feet at Mt. Chacaltaya, Bolivia. The frequency range was 40 to 180 MHz. The relationships between the radio pulses and various properties of the showers were determined. (Author)
