Abstract
The paper holds that the so-called revolutionary way in policy making results in right-wing backlash, giving the 'petty bourgeois' aspects of the New Left. It challenges the concept that rational advice from intellectuals can alone contribute to solving the problems of American society by favoring a reformist way. (Author)
