THE DIMENSIONALITY OF NATIONS PROJECT.

Abstract

An analysis of conflict behavior in both the dyadic and bynation level for 1950 delineated 3 factors of conflict behavior. In contrast to 1955 and 1963, conflict patterns for 1950 suggest that the complexity of conflict in the earlier period was less than in the latter years. Much effort was devoted to theoretical development. A new addition to the field theory attempted to represent social time in international relations by treating it as a social force affecting the behavior of nations differently. (Author)
