ADAPTIVE MODELING AND CONTROL.

Abstract

Properties of and algorithms for a class of linear response-error adaptive modelers and of a class of nonlinear generalized equation error adaptive modelers using quantizers are examined. Adaptive inversion, decorrelation, orthogonalization and normalization are discussed. Control systems operating in two time-scales with preview, and using an adaptive modeler to estimate the state, dynamics, future trajectory, and step-response, etc., of the unknown plant, are developed. The analyses are supported by experimental results. (Author)
