SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF ALLOYS,
Abstract
The book presents theoretical principles of the spectrophotometric analysis method; given is the description of Soviet equipment and procedures. Given are absorption spectra of basic solutions and solvents used in analytical chemistry, absorption spectra of solutions of complex metal compounds. Given is also an evaluation of possibilities of the spectrophotometric method in determination of metals by the magnitude of light absorption of their colorless or slightly-colored ions. Presented are detailed methods for determination of certain metals in various types of metallurgical products; without the use of any special reagents, they considerably reduce labor consumption and cost of analyses.
