THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF UNSTABLE LASER RESONATORS. RIMMED RESONATORS.

Abstract

The report is concerned with the theoretical and experimental research on open resonators terminated by plane mirrors with a rim along the edges. The effect of two different rim shape is investigated. The first part of the report is concerned with the treatment of the problem of modes and losses of the step and sloped rim mirror resonators. The second part is concerned with the description of the experiments performed by means of mocrowave models of such resonators as well as with an application of such kind of resonator to the construction of band pass filters.
