PROPERTIES OF SMALL HELICAL ANTENNAS AT LOW FREQUENCIES FOR APPLICATION IN DISSIPATIVE MEDIA,

Abstract

An equivalent circuit diagram for a network model has been used for discussing the properties of small, self-resonant helical antennas at low frequencies. It is shown how to calculate the lowest resonant frequency, wave resistance, input resistance and the distribution of current and charge. The surrounding media are air and water. The theoretical values are compared with theory by means of two antennas; good agreement has been found. (Author)
