DIRECT DIGITAL COMPUTER DATA FEED FROM TELEGRAPH COMMUNICATION CIRCUITS,

Abstract

For interfacing electronic digital computers to telegraph communication trunks the most effective systems are those which feature direct data input to the computer, namely, software. The magnetic-drum interface reported on in this article can be used in a data transmission and reduction system at a railroad computer center as a possible configuration for direct data input to the computer from telegraph circuits.
