Abstract
The purpose of the research and development activity described is to achieve the national goal of providing an air transportation system for all categories of aviation commensurate with projected growth of the air transportation industry. The funding estimates included represent current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) technical judgments of the FAA sponsored R and D effort required to meet the goal of increasing airport and airway system capacity to levels forecasted for the 1980 to 1995 period.
