ALGORITHMS AND MODELS BASED ON PROJECTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS IN SPATIAL LOCATION, REGIONAL PLANNING, AND CENTRAL PLACE THEORY.

Abstract

The use of the anharmonic relation appears to be a useful metrical property for the development of an algorithm applicable to problems of spatial location (architectural and urban design) in verifying and/or establishing metrical relations among regions. In nested hierarchical systems it should serve as a geometric image of the system. The paper presents a discussion of these various applications.
