UTILITY--A CTS PROGRAM FOR TAPE, DISK, CARD, AND PRINTER INFORMATION HANDLING,

Abstract

UTILITY is a generalized program for information handling written for a time sharing computer system. UTILITY is a simple to use program to provide information transfer between input-output peripheral devices. Information from an input device (tape, disk, or card reader) can be sent to one or more output devices (tape, disk, card punch, and printer). A storage and execution time efficient ASSEMBLER generated MODULE will perform most applications. A FORTRAN version is available for special user modifications. The use of UTILITY is explained and demonstrated, and test timings are given. (Author)
