THE EFFECT OF FLUID CONTAMINATION ON THE OPERATING RELIABILITY OF AIRCRAFT HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS,

Abstract

The report contains investigation results and generalized literature data regarding the effects of contamination of working fluids on operating reliability of units of hydraulic aircraft systems. Methods are analyzed for determination of contamination. Data are given on contamination of fluids supplied by the industry and contamination of fluids of operating hydraulic systems. An analysis is given of dynamics of contamination changes in relation to the operating period of systems, designs of test stands, and instrumentation used for investigations. Recommendations are given on reduction of the harmful effect of contamination on reliability and useful life of hydraulic units. (Author)
