GO: GENIE GRAPHICAL INPUT-OUTPUT SYSTEM.

Abstract

GO is an extension of the SDS 930 Time-Sharing System to provide facilities for displaying and interactively manipulating data in graphical form. Its hardware consists of a PDP-5 (DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION'S PROGRAMMED DATA PROCESSOR 5) computer, an IDI (Information Displays, Inc.) display controller with a 12 inch X 12 inch type P7 cathode-ray tube screen, a Rand tablet with its associated stylus, a light pen, a five-key handset, and a teletype keyboard. The document will present a detailed picture of the current state of the IDI system with an appendix to sketch the current state of the Burroughs.
