PARTIAL ORDERS OF DIMENSION 2, INTERVAL ORDERS AND INTERVAL GRAPHS

Abstract

The paper has two main purposes. The first is to illustrate the relationship among dimensionality and several other concepts of interest in the theory of binary relations, including weak orders, interval orders, semiorders, interval graphs, comparability graphs, and the breadth of a partial order. The second purpose is to prove several new results and to indicate topics for further research.
