ATOMIC PHYSICS AND MANY-PARTICLE INTERACTIONS.

Abstract

A brief summary and a publications list is presented for research which included atomic physics, plasma physics and statistical mechanics. One of the programs in atomic physics has been aimed at obtaining accurately calculated energy levels for some excited states of Helium. The other program in atomic physics has as its objective the calculation of electronic excitation and charge transfer in ion-atom and atom-atom collisions. In plasma physics a continuing study is being conducted of unstable waves in inhomogeneous plasmas. (Author)
