A RELATIONAL STRUCTURE FOR DOCUMENT RETRIEVAL IN CODING THEORY,

Abstract

The paper defines a relational data structure designed for a document retrieval system in coding theory. The structure consists of a hierarchy tree structure and a functional structure known as a lateral link. The retrieval functions of the lateral links are to bring up the possibility of ambiguity, suggest related search topics, and propose the elimination of irrelevant topics. An outline of the application of this data base to a retrieval system is presented, along with suggestions for further studies leading to implementation of such a system. (Author)
