PHOTOSPHERIC MAGNETIC FIELD ROTATION: RIGID AND DIFFERENTIAL.

Abstract

An autocorrelation of the direction of the large-scale photospheric magnetic field observed during 1959-1967 has yielded evidence that the field structure at a given heliographic latitude can display both differential rotation and rigid rotation properties.
