THE EFFECT OF LARGE ELASTIC STRAIN ON SEVERAL CRYSTAL PROPERTIES.

Abstract

The effect of large elastic strains on the superconducting transition temperature (T sub c) and on the elastic constants of several metals was measured. The effect of size on the electrical resistance and on (T sub c) was examined. The effect of fluctuations on the resistance of nearly one dimensional samples near (T sub c) was observed. (Author)
