A LOW-COST LATCHING FERRITE PHASER FABRICATION TECHNIQUE.

Abstract

The electrical characteristics of latching ferrite waveguide phasers have been fairly well established, and increased attention is currently directed towards fabrication simplicity to reduce cost. Construction techniques considered in this paper permit the use of loosely toleranced ceramic and metal parts without sacrificing electrical and thermal performance of the phaser. An integral consideration is the degree that the flux-drive technique allows the relaxation of mechanical and ferrite material parameter tolerances. (Author)
