EXPONENTIAL ESTIMATES AND THE SADDLE POINT PROPERTY FOR NEUTRAL FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS,

Abstract

The paper is concerned with determining in what sense the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of a certain class of differential-difference equations of the neutral type is given from a knowledge of the solutions of the characteristic equation. The results are stated in terms of general functional differential equations which include differential-difference equations. An application to perturbed linear equations is indicated by discussing the saddle point property for nonlinear autonomous systems. (Author)
