METHOD OF INCREASING HEMAGGLUTINATING AND INFECTIVE ACTIVITY OF ARBOR VIRUSES IN TISSUE CULTURE (K Metodike Povysheniya Gemagglyutiniruyuschei i Infektsionnoi Aktivnosti Ryada Arbovirusov v Kulture Tkani)

Abstract

A relation was established between hemagglutinating activity of a number of arbor viruses and volume of tissue culture maintenance medium. A method is proposed to increase hemagglutinating activity of viruses by enriching the culture fluid with hemagglutinating by means of several consecutive passages. It was demonstrated that this method can also increase the infective and antigenic activity of viruses.
