GAS ENGINE 6G-Ch-36/45 WITH TORCH IGNITION,

Abstract

The new design of the torch ignition chamber permits the unification of the gas engine with the diesel by compression ratio and cylinder cover design. This will guarantee a lowering of the cost of gas engines and the possibility of conversion to gas fuel of engines operating on diesel. The engine 60-Ch-36/45 with torch ignition has the same power as the diesel (600 h.p.) and the efficiency is equal to 30%, while the maximum combustion pressure and rate of pressure increase during combustion are approximately the same as those of the diesel prototype.
