MODEL ATMOSPHERES FOR DEGENERATE STARS.

Abstract

A general program for the computation of model atmospheres for degenerate stars was written in Algol for the B5500 computer at the University of Virginia. The program has been used to study the atmospheric structure of (lambda) 4670 stars and DG stars. New model atmospheres were obtained for these stars and the comparison of these models with the observed data (spectra, colors, etc.) is in progress.
