INCIPIENT SEPARATION FOR HIGHLY-COOLED WALLS IN A HYPERSONIC FREE STREAM,

Abstract

The report presents a comparison between a theoretical incipient separation criterion and experimental data. Theory predicts a critical wall to free stream total temperature ratio below which no laminar separation can occur. Experimental data indicate there is such a critical wall temperature ratio for hypersonic flow. (Author)
