SIMPLIFIED MAGNETRON INJECTION GUN NOISE THEORY.

Abstract

The report describes a simplified noise theory useful in the esign and evaluation of magnetron injection guns. The results of the analysis have been programmed for a digital computer to facilitate application. Graphs are presented which predict qualitative noise behavior common to all magnetron injection guns as an illustration of the use of the theory. Several new phenomena predicted by the theory are also described in some detail. (Author)
