AN EMPIRICAL EXPRESSION FOR CAPILLARY DEPRESSION OF MERCURY,

Abstract

An equation has been developed for computing the capillary depression of mercury in tubes by fitting an empirical equation to the data reported by Delcros (1849). Capillary depressions can be computed by this equation within about 1 micrometer. (Author)
