PHASES OF DEVELOPMENT OF A MULTINATIONAL TRAINING GROUP

Abstract

The report deals with a study of 36 people from six countries assembled for a special six-month rice production training course, an effort designed to produce agricultural technicians who would introduce the Institute's new high-yielding varieties of rice to the rural areas of their home countries. The research shows how a multinational group goes through a sequence of change in attitudes and behavior and how these changes introduce stresses both for the students and for the instructors.
