SOLAR RADIO STUDIES AT MANILA OBSERVATORY.

Abstract

The report summarizes the work performed at Manila Observatory in the period 1967 to 1970, the peak of solar cycle 20. A solar radio patrol was maintained with six single frequency radiometers (8800, 4995, 2695, 1415, 606 and 245 MHz) and a 24-48 MHz swept frequency interferometer radiometer. During this active period ten proton flares were recorded and detailed radio-optical studies made of some of them. The latest proton flare, 29 March 1970, is discussed here. A list and abstracts of publications or completed papers is provided in the Appendix. (Author)
