GAP-FILLING ADHESIVES IN FINGER JOINTS.

Abstract

The document reports on a processes by which pretreating and heating mating surfaces or using hot adhesives in untreated surfaces of Douglas-fir and southern pine, finger joints were made comparable in strength to commercial finger joints, even though the fingers were warped and loose fitting.
