PREDICTING ATTRITION OF UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS OFFICERS BY RANK AND MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY.

Abstract

The thesis develops a model for the prediction of officer losses from the United States Marine Corps. The model is developed through the analysis of past data. From this analysis, the thesis shows what prediction values are required in order to develop the model. Some calculations are made to show the nature and scope of the required predictors. The author discusses an operational model to be constructed in order to better estimate the value of this approach to officer personnel attrition prediction in the United States Marine Corps.
