SENSORS FOR RADIOSONDE USE.

Abstract

Current Navy expendable radiosonde sensors do not meet the required accuracies. A study was conducted to find improved sensors for temperature, pressure and humidity. Recent developments were investigated and recommendations made. An evaluation was conducted on a new humidity sensor and a new pressure sensor. The results obtained indicate improvements but further development is required. (Author)
