THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF ORGANIC DERIVATIVES OF THE LIGHTER ELEMENTS.

Abstract

The thermodynamic property measurements completed previously on aliphatic diamines are summarized and values are tabulated for the standard entropies, Gibbs energies, and equilibrium constants of formation for 1, 2-diaminoethane, 1, 2-diaminopropane, and 1, 2-diamino-2-methylpropane. The molar thermodynamic functions of the condensed phases of 1, 2-diamino-2-methylpropane are tabulated. A progress report on the properties of cyclopropylamine include preliminary results on low-temperature measurements, enthalpies of combustion and formation, and the carbon-nitrogen thermochemical bond energy.
