THE APPLICATION OF MAYER'S THEORY TO THE CURIE-WEISS GAS MODEL,

Abstract

The analysis of a Curie-Weiss gas using Mayer's theory of real gases is re-examined. One-phase irreducible integrals are calculated and these provide a new proof of a theorem on star graphs. For low temperatures, the coefficients of the Mayer virial and fugacity expansions are derived. Both of these series exhibit condensation. (Author)
