Flow Over Airfoils in the Transonic Regime-Computer Programs

Abstract

Digital computer programs for solving two problems are described. The first is for calculating planar inviscid transonic flow over an airfoil by a finite difference method and the second is for calculating the boundary layer on an airfoil for an arbitrary surface velocity distribution by an integral method. The report contains descriptions of the programs and subroutines, program listings and flow charts, and discussion of some of the program features.
