1970 ANNUAL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM (7th). AN APPLICATION OF BAYESIAN TECHNIQUE FOR EARLY RELIABILITY MEASUREMENT,

Abstract

The paper deals with the application of a Bayesian measurement technique to the reliability evaluation of a complex sonar system. This system is a multi-mode/path system capable of degraded performance in its operational modes. It consists of cabinets which contain functional equipment bays that are built-up from printed circuit cards and plug-in modules. Aspects related to modeling this system as well as the parameter selected for measurement, the mean time between unscheduled maintenance (MTBUM), are discussed. (Author)
