A NEW METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING THE EXISTENCE OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS. I. THE SIEGEL NORMAL FORM THEOREM.

Abstract

The paper contains the first of a series of applications of a new method, developed by the author, for establishing the existence of an analytic function by making successive changes of variables. One establishes Siegel's theorem that for 'good' or generic small divisors, nonlinear ordinary differential equations may be linearized. (Author)
