THE ANDROS FOREREEF SHELF.

Abstract

Data concerning the configuration and ecology of the forereef shelf, Andros Island, Bahamas, were collected as supporting information necessary for evaluation of photographic sensing techniques tested by NAVOCEANO. The new photographic techniques are designed to improve mapping of shallow marine shelf environments from aerial photographs. Information was collected on submarine topography, sediment distribution, and organic communities of the shelf. (Author)
