THE EFFECTS OF REINFORCEMENT ON THE OCCURRENCE OF CLUSTERING IN THE RECALL OF RANDOMLY ARRANGED ASSOCIATES.

Abstract

The study was designed with the broad purpose of investigating organization as it occurs in mental processes. It is assumed that the clustering occurring in the recall of words is a consequence of organization. By observing the effects of reinforcement on clustering, one is provided with information useful in developing a theoretical conception of the nature of organization as it occurs in mental processes.
