ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE-CHARGE INTERACTION IN CROSSED FIELDS.

Abstract

The purpose of the work on this contract is to investigate the interaction of electromagnetic waves and charge carriers in vacuum and solids. Efforts on the crossed-field InSb surface-wave amplifier have been devoted to device fabrication and evaluation of the dc flow conditions. It has been established that the chosen electrode configuration will give drift velocities more than sufficient to achieve amplification. (Author)
