A THREE STATION METHOD TO ACQUIRE SMOKE TRAIL POSITION.

Abstract

The report describes a three camera solution for position data. The topics covered include a method of reducing the data from the film, a method of pairing the data from the three cameras into possible solutions, the calculation of the optimum solution point using the paired data, and the errors of closure in the optimum solution point. These errors of closure are used both to determine the quality of the solution and to estimate the error in any calculated wind. (Author)
