ANALYSIS OF RESULTS OBTAINED DURING ENDURANCE TESTS ON FLEXIBLE WIRE ROPE FOR AIRCRAFT FLYING CONTROLS.

Abstract

The results obtained from the programme of endurance tests on flexible wire ropes for aircraft control systems were given in report number AD-709 960. These results were analysed to provide possible recommendations for test conditions (rope tension, pulley diameter and cycling speed) which could be included in the British Standard Specification for Cables and Wires for Aircraft.
