DENSITY MATRIX APPROACH TO ATOMIC STRUCTURE.

Abstract

The report is a very brief survey of progress made during the past year on the analysis of atomic wavefunctions by density matrix methods. A study was made of the advantages and disadvantages of various schemes of partitioning the 2-matrix into two parts, an uncorrelated reference term and a correlation correction. (Author)
