PARAMETRIC TUNING CHARACTERISTICS OF BARIUM SODIUM NIOBATE,

Abstract

The observation of cw parametric fluorescence in several samples of Ba2NaNb5O15 for ten pump wavelengths between 454.5 and 528.7 nm is reported. The observed fluorescence was temperature tuned through the visible spectrum with 90-deg phase-matching. The large number of pump wavelengths used allows determination of the wavelength and temperature dependence of the parametric tuning coefficients over a region of major interest in parametric devices using Ba2NaNb5O15.
