POWDERED-METAL MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS,

Abstract

The book reviews methods of fabricating powder metallurgy materials and products made of iron powders or nonferrous metals, and describes their properties and use. Present theory and practices or compacting and sintering powder products under various production conditions are discussed. The most frequently used in machine-building materials and products with specific mechanical, technological and physicochemical properties are discussed at length, among them friction materials, antifriction materials, hard, heat-resistant alloys, sintered parts and tools made of high-strength compacted metals, permanent magnets and high-porosity products of various types.
