THE PERCEPTION OF LOCAL SURVIVAL CHANCES: AN EXPLORATORY EXPLANATION,

Abstract

The report examines the impact of a combination of attitudes, behaviors, and social characteristics on people's perceptions of how many people in their locality would survive a nuclear war. Attitudes about civil defense issues and the international context were found to be the best predictors of the estimates of survival. (Author)
