STANDARDS FOR EVALUATION OF CUTANEOUS WOUND HEALING,

Abstract

The studies covered in the report attempted to standardize criteria for grading histologic changes associated with healing of cutaneous wounds. Histologic signs of normal incisional wound healing in experimental animals were evaluated with respect to time of appearance relative to time required for complete healing. It was found that basic micro-anatomic changes occurred in normal wound healing and that these changes were related to post-injury time. (Author)
