HIGH-RESOLUTION K-LINE SPECTROSCOPY OF G- AND K-TYPE STARS.

Abstract

The twofold aims of the report are (1) to bring to completion a high resolution echelle spectrograph mounted at the coude focus of Harvard's 61-inch telescope, and (2) to use the instrument in a continuing study of the changes in the shape of the emission component in the Ca II K-line in late type stars. Both aims were achieved; Part 2 hopefully will be continued but at a substantially reduced level of operation. (Author)
