A NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF THE CONTROL PARAMETER - TRIGGERING OF AN IGFET COMPLEMENTARY MULTIVIBRATOR.

Abstract

A nonlinear graphical method is used to evaluate the dynamic operating behaviour of a complementary IGFET switching circuit when triggered with the control parameter, in contradistinction to the conventional method of shifting the load line. In the analysis, the minimum-amplitude pulse for guaranteed switching was determined for both ramp functions and step functions. Also, output waveforms were constructed by reducing modified phase plane trajectories to true phase plane curves, and their waveshapes, amplitudes and period were evaluated for different ratios of capacitance to inductance.
