AN ANALYSIS OF ABILITY REQUIREMENTS IN COMPLEX TRACKING BEHAVIOR,

Abstract

The purpose of the report is to examine a complex tracking task and, within a specific conceptual framework, to hypothesize a set of basic abilities which might be more effective in accounting for individual differences in tracking performance, and thus make possible a more comprehensive description of operator performance in the tracking situation. Eight abilities are defined and described in this analysis. (Author)
